Bryan announces 2024 holiday schedule for Virgin Islands government offices

Government House said on November 25, 2024, that Virgin Islands government offices would close or grant administrative leave on several dates during the 2024 holiday season and early 2025.

Executive Branch employees were scheduled to receive administrative leave from noon to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, for Christmas Eve. Government offices were scheduled to be closed on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, for Christmas Day; Thursday, December 26, 2024, for Boxing Day; Wednesday, January 1, 2025, for New Year’s Day and St. Croix Festival J’ouvert; Monday, January 6, 2025, for Three Kings Day; and Monday, January 20, 2025, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

On Thursday, January 2, 2025, employees on St. Croix were scheduled to receive administrative leave from noon to 5 p.m. for the Crucian Christmas Festival Food, Arts and Crafts Fair. On Friday, January 3, 2025, Executive Branch employees territory-wide were scheduled to receive administrative leave from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the Crucian Christmas Festival Children’s Parade.

The schedule also listed Saturday, January 4, 2025, for the Crucian Christmas Festival Adult’s Parade.
