Ownership and Transparency

Who operates USVI News

This page identifies the ownership and publishing relationships reflected in the current USVI News site and production records.

Last updated July 16, 2026

Owner and operating names

Current site publishing records identify David Whitaker as the owner of USVI News. The service's legal pages identify USVI News, USVI News & World Report, LLC, and Info VI News as names used for the service operator.

The public editorial contact is editorial@usvinews.com.

Editorial identity

Original site material may be published under a named contributor or the USVI News editorial desk. The current public site does not identify a separate editor-in-chief. Community members and business profiles publish under their own visible account identities.

Outside publishers and data sources

The site distributes selected stories through an affiliate source network. Those pages retain the original publisher's identity and link, and state that the reporting, analysis, and viewpoints belong to the source outlet rather than USVI News.

Weather, aviation, public-record, court, government, directory, and business information can originate with government agencies or third-party data providers. The source relationship should be visible on the relevant content. A listing or source link does not imply that USVI News owns, endorses, or controls that organization.

Technology relationships

USVI News uses Cloudflare for application delivery and data services, Backblaze for media storage, Proton infrastructure for service email, OpenAI for optional AI-assisted features, and external news, weather, aviation, maps, and business-data services for specific site functions. These are technology or content-source relationships, not ownership interests.

More detail about data processing appears in the Privacy Policy.
