The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said on January 24, 2025, that its employees and contractors working in the community were expected to use marked vehicles, uniforms and identification while performing assigned work.
According to the notice, WAPA employees operated official vehicles with clearly marked license plates, wore WAPA-issued uniforms, announced their presence upon arrival at a residence, and displayed official WAPA identification.
The authority said contractors could also present contractor identification badges, safety vests and, upon request, a letter of authority.
WAPA said community members should allow employees and contractors to complete assigned work without harassment or threats.
