Government House announces workforce summit dates and Vincent Roberts swearing-in

Government House said at its weekly press briefing on Sept. 29, 2025, that the 2025 Governor’s Workforce Summit would begin on St. Croix on Sept. 30.

The summit was scheduled for Caribbean Cinemas on St. Croix from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 30, for Caribbean Cinemas on St. Thomas from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 2, and for the Legislature Hall on St. John from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 3.

Government House said registration was free through viwdb.vi.gov. It said residents also could watch virtually on Government House’s Facebook page and on the Government Access Channel, Channel 27, for One Communications subscribers.

Government House also said Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. was scheduled to preside over the swearing-in of Vincent Roberts as commissioner of Sports, Parks and Recreation on Oct. 1, 2025, at Government House on St. Thomas.

The ceremony was to be by invitation only, with public viewing available on Government House’s Facebook page and on the Government Access Channel, Channel 27.
