WAPA scheduled governing board meeting for July 25

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said on July 22, 2024, that its governing board had scheduled a regular meeting for July 25, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.

The authority said the meeting would be held by videoconference from the Sunny Isles Business Office second-floor conference room on St. Croix and would be open to the public.

According to the published agenda, the meeting was set to include executive session for legal and personnel matters, planning and economic development committee items, finance and audit committee items, and the executive director's report.

Listed action items included the Feeder 5A Underground Project, the Hannahs Rest Waterline Rehabilitation Project, a memorandum of understanding involving the Public Finance Authority and WAPA Turnaround Company, an amendment to Contract SC-29-20 for FX Bonnes, approval of the fiscal year 2025 budget, an extension of the 2022 bond anticipation notes to Sept. 1, 2024, a one-year extension of First Bank lines of credit and overdraft credit facility, and a one-month extension of Banco Popular credit facilities.

The agenda also listed discussion items on an energy roundtable update and the Bugby Hole situation on St. Croix.
