Bryan proclaimed Jan. 17 a Day of Honor for Acting HUD Secretary Adrianne Todman

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. proclaimed Jan. 17, 2025, a Day of Honor for Adrianne Todman, a Virgin Islander serving as acting secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Government House said the proclamation recognized Todman’s public service and her role in supporting recovery and energy-related projects in the U.S. Virgin Islands after hurricanes Irma and Maria.

According to Government House, Todman began her public-service career in the office of former U.S. Rep. Ron de Lugo.

The administration said Bryan had planned to present the honor to Todman during the Jan. 17 ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Phase II Wärtsilä generators at the Randolph Harley Power Plant on St. Thomas, but she did not attend after her flight from Florida to St. Thomas was canceled.
