The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said 14 transmission and distribution engineers from St. Croix and St. Thomas participated in a four-day online high-voltage substation design course that ran from January 26 through January 29, 2026.

WAPA said the training covered the role of high-voltage substations and was intended to help engineers plan, design and upgrade those facilities.

The authority said the course was facilitated by BII World.
