Bryan swore in Jennifer Matarangas-King as Tourism commissioner
Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. swore in Jennifer Matarangas-King as commissioner of the Virgin Islands Department of Tourism at Government House on Jan. 15, 2026.
Matarangas-King took the oath of office with her daughter, Alexis, at her side. Superior Court Judge Venetia Harvey Velazquez administered the oath.
Bryan had nominated Matarangas-King in July 2025, and the 36th Legislature confirmed her in November 2025.
After the oath, Bryan pinned Matarangas-King with the golden eagle lapel pin worn by members of the governor's Cabinet.
