WAPA rescheduled Hannah’s Rest underground project road closure in Frederiksted

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said on December 4, 2025, that a previously announced road closure tied to the Hannah’s Rest undergrounding project in Frederiksted would be rescheduled.
The closure had been planned for the area between the Walter I.M. Hodge Pavilion and the Caribbean Centers for Boys and Girls of the Virgin Islands.
WAPA said the change was made to accommodate the Crucian Christmas Festival and said it was working with organizers and contractors to set a new date intended to reduce traffic disruptions. The authority said an updated schedule would be issued after arrangements were finalized.
