WAPA said repairs were completed and water service was being restored in Gallows Bay area on St. Croix

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said on May 6, 2025, that repairs to a leak in the Gallows Bay area on St. Croix had been completed and water service was being restored.
WAPA said water pressure was expected to return gradually to normal within an hour, though two-story homes and commercial properties at higher elevations could see longer delays in full pressure restoration.
The affected areas were Flamboyant Welcome, Eliza Retreat, Tulipán Welcome, Estate Mount Welcome, Tide Village, Gallows Bay, Schooner Bay Condominium, Fisher Street, East Street, Mahogany Welcome, Altona and St. Peter’s.
