Virgin Islands flags ordered flown at half-staff in memory of Jesse Jackson Sr.

Acting Gov. Tregenza A. Roach ordered all Virgin Islands flags at Government House and on public buildings to be flown at half-staff from February 19, 2026, until sunset on February 26, 2026, in memory of the Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr.

Government House said Jackson, a civil-rights leader, political activist and ordained minister, died on February 17, 2026.

The order applied to Government House and all public buildings in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
