Bryan issues statement on killing of Jordan "Dutty Heart" Jones in Christiansted

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. issued a statement on June 6, 2025, on the killing of Jordan "Dutty Heart" Jones, who he said was fatally shot in broad daylight on the Christiansted boardwalk.

Bryan said he had spoken with Police Commissioner Mario Brooks and said the Virgin Islands Police Department had apprehended a suspect in connection with the shooting.

He said the investigation was continuing and urged anyone with additional information to assist police.

Bryan also extended condolences to Jones' family, friends and fans.
