The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said on Jan. 8, 2025, that all customer service and business offices across the territory would be closed on Jan. 9 in observance of the National Day of Mourning for former U.S. President Jimmy Carter.

WAPA said customers with service-related issues could continue to reach its 24-hour dispatch line, and outage reports could also be submitted through the authority’s website.

The authority said regular business hours would resume on Jan. 10, 2025.
