Kate Beckinsale SLAMMED Mark Ruffalo For Allegedly Ignoring Her After She Was Fired From Her Agent - BuzzFeed
Yikes.
I'm a writer and editor who lives in Brooklyn, New York, and I've written for a variety of publications across the last 20 years, including The New York Times, The Guardian, GQ, New York Magazine, Pitchfork, The Fader—the list goes on.
Kate Beckinsale isn't one to mince words — and her latest comments regarding fellow actor Mark Ruffalo are certainly proof of that.
So, Mark recently posted a promotional video on IG for the film Palestine 36, which is in theaters now. The actor has also been outspoken over the years regarding the decades-long genocide occurring in Gaza.

In a series of since-deleted IG comments on the video itself (via Entertainment Weekly ), Kate spoke out about how her own support of a ceasefire in Gaza recently resulted in being fired by her agent — and she alleged that Mark ignored her requests for support as well.
"Gosh, it must be so nice not to be fired by your Agent for liking a post about a ceasefire and not supporting the murdering of children," Kate said in the comments. "guess having a penis in Hollywood really counts for a lot because you've not been fired by the same Agent that I had and she sent me a gift the week before so we didn't have any beef, but I liked a post about a ceasefire and I've got fired on the same day as Susan Sarandon was fired, two days after the end of the strike after nine months of none of us being able to work at all."
Kate also said that the firing came at a time in which she was experiencing great personal stress, which she's spoken about publicly before. "I was dealing with the fact that on top of my mother having been told she had six weeks to live with brain cancer, and being [a] carer for both of them, the day before my stepfather had had a catastrophic stroke on top of two types of cancer," she wrote.
"Which led to his death and I was preparing to fly to England to bring him back so that I could take full care of him and I was fired in two sentences after 12 years of friendship with my Agent and yours who is very close to her elderly parents and definitely knew what I was dealing with, alone."
"I DMdyou about this months ago but you ignored me," Kate then alleged in Mark's direction.
In a reply to another IG user, Kate said she was "okay" with being ignored and was simply calling out "male privilege even in the good guys." "It is such a given that of course I did not get a response and I really and truly support Mark Ruffalo and everything he is doing but no I@will [sic] not get a response not here and not ever," she added, later clarifying that she's "not even blaming Mark for this" but "noticing it" regardless.
"I sent a message to Mark months ago and he ignored it," she further alleged. "There is absolutely no reason why he would respond to it now."
Well then. If Mark replies, we'll certainly let you know!
