Official details

An earthquake occurred at about 1207 PM AST.

According to PTWC an earthquake of magnitude 5.0 occurred at 42 miles west of Isla de Mona.

Given the reported intensity of the earthquake it is believed there is no tsunami threat for Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands.
