Kevin A. Williams Sr. appointed chief of staff to Gov. Albert Bryan Jr.

Government House said on July 29, 2024, that Kevin A. Williams Sr. had been appointed chief of staff to Gov. Albert Bryan Jr.

Williams joined the Bryan-Roach administration in October 2023 as chief policy adviser, where he oversaw policy clusters and the administration’s response to water and energy issues, according to Government House. He succeeded Karl Knight, who had served as the governor’s chief of staff.

Before joining the administration, Williams worked in the Virgin Islands judiciary. Government House said he began as a computer support technician at the then Territorial Court of the Virgin Islands and later served as director of information technology. He also served as deputy administrative director of technology services at the Supreme Court of the Virgin Islands and, beginning in September 2018, as assistant administrator of courts for the judicial branch, with management responsibilities for human resources, facility management and information technology.

Williams graduated from St. Croix Central High School in 1991. Government House said he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Alabama State University in 1995 and an MBA from the University of the Virgin Islands in 2000.
