Bryan issued statement on death of former American Airlines executive Peter J. Dolara

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. on Nov. 17, 2025, issued a statement on the death of Peter J. Dolara, a former senior vice president for American Airlines overseeing Miami, Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America.

In the statement, Bryan said Dolara spent more than four decades at American Airlines and played a role in the growth of the carrier’s Miami hub and its network across the Caribbean and Latin America.

Bryan said Dolara was an early advocate for maintaining service to Henry E. Rohlsen Airport on St. Croix and supported efforts to preserve dependable access to Miami. He also said Dolara visited St. Croix often and met with local leaders.

Bryan extended condolences to Dolara’s family, friends and the American Airlines team.
