The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said it visited the Paradise Learning Summer Camp on St. Thomas on July 31, 2025, for a solar-energy outreach session for children ages 4 to 9.

According to WAPA, campers took part in a hands-on lesson led by the authority’s communications team on solar power and renewable electricity. The agency said students also built solar-powered pizza ovens using household items.

WAPA said campers were told about four solar farms in the territory — Petronella, Spanish Town, Hogensborg and Donoe — and a fifth project, Fortuna, planned for St. Thomas.
