WAPA scheduled online sessions on 2025 Alva C. McFarlane Scholarship

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said on December 9, 2024, that applications for its 2025 Alva C. McFarlane Scholarship Program would open on December 16, 2024, and close on January 31, 2025.
WAPA said it would hold two online informational sessions for applicants and parents or guardians at 6 p.m. on December 9, 2024, and December 10, 2024. The authority said the webinars would cover eligibility, the application process and scholarship benefits.
According to the notice, the scholarship offered up to $80,000 for bachelor's degree funding for high school students and up to $30,000 for associate's or technical degree funding for college students. WAPA said the program supports students pursuing higher education in engineering and other STEM fields.
