The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said on September 5, 2024, that scheduled rotational outages in the St. Thomas-St. John district had ended.

WAPA said its existing fuel supply was sufficient to resume normal operations and that it expected a diesel delivery on September 7, 2024.

The authority had asked customers earlier in the week to conserve energy to help stabilize the grid.
