The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority held a memorial ceremony for lineman apprentice Raymond A. Christian, according to a June 5, 2025, agency release.

The archived release preserved only part of the text. It said the ceremony opened with remarks from WAPA Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director Karl Knight, who said the event was intended to remember Christian and underscore the risks faced by line crews.

The release also said Ramona Menders addressed linemen at the ceremony and urged them to watch out for one another on every job, use proper safety gear and take care of themselves and their co-workers in the field.
