Bryan nominates Pedro K. Williams to Superior Court judgeship

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. nominated St. Thomas attorney Pedro K. Williams on November 17, 2025, to serve as a judge of the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands for the St. Thomas-St. John District.

Government House said the nomination was submitted to the 36th Legislature for advice and consent. If confirmed, Williams would fill the remaining vacancy on the Superior Court bench in the district.

According to Government House, Williams is a graduate of Charlotte Amalie High School and holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Tufts University and a law degree from the University of Texas.

Government House said Williams previously served as legal counsel to former Virgin Islands Delegate to Congress Ron de Lugo and later as counsel to the Virgin Islands Coastal Zone Management program at the Department of Planning and Natural Resources.

In private practice, Williams worked on criminal, commercial, family, personal injury, real estate development and general litigation matters, according to Government House. The administration also said he served as an associate and partner at the Law Offices of Vincent F. Frazer, as a partner in Frazer and Williams, as owner of the Law Offices of Pedro K. Williams and as a partner in Williams and Williams.

At the time of the nomination, Williams was serving as chairman of the Virgin Islands Public Services Commission and as an administrative law judge for the Virgin Islands Department of Labor, according to Government House.
