Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. appointed Lt. Deborah Hodge as chief of police for the Virgin Islands Police Department's St. Thomas-St. John District, Government House said on March 31, 2025.

Government House said Hodge is the first woman in Virgin Islands history to serve as chief of police.

Hodge had more than 20 years of experience with the department and had served in several leadership roles, according to the announcement.
