WAPA scheduled governing board meeting for August 22

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said its governing board scheduled a regular meeting for Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
The authority said the meeting would be held by videoconference in the Al Cohen Conference Room on St. Thomas and would be open to the public.
According to the published agenda, the board planned to enter executive session for personnel matters. The agenda also listed Planning and Economic Development Committee action on PR-05-24, the Queen Mary Phase 1 underground construction project, and discussion items identified as an HMI update and an update on elderly matters.
Finance and Audit Committee items on the agenda included action on SC-17-23 Feeder 8B, SC-05-23 West Peak energy cost and time extension, rescinding an award for Contract SC-16-23, SC-07-23 Symbiosa cost, time and scope increase, and SC-13-22 BORINKIN Change Order V. Discussion items included prudent replacement and Sargent & Lundy third-party pole attachment application assessment services.
The agenda also listed an executive director report before adjournment.
