A nearby earthquake occurred at about 1043 PM AST, about 29 miles northwest of Puerto Rico.

The earthquake has been reported as felt moderately across most of Puerto Rico.

Given the reported intensity of the earthquake it is believed there is no tsunami threat for Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands.
