Bryan amended holiday administrative leave schedule for government offices
Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. amended an administrative leave proclamation on December 19, 2024, setting government office closures for the 2024-25 holiday season and the St. Croix Crucian Christmas Festival.
Under Title 1 V.I.C. § 171, the legal holidays listed in the proclamation were December 25, 2024, for Christmas Day; December 26, 2024, for Christmas Second Day; January 1, 2025, for New Year’s Day; and January 6, 2025, for Three Kings Day.
The proclamation also recognized January 1, 2025, for the Crucian Christmas Festival Food, Arts, and Crafts Fair.
Government offices were scheduled to close territory-wide from noon to 5 p.m. on December 24, 2024, and from noon to 5 p.m. on December 31, 2024. Offices also were scheduled to close territory-wide from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on January 3, 2025, for the St. Croix Crucian Christmas Festival Children’s Parade.
On St. Croix only, government offices were scheduled to close from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on January 2, 2025, for the Traditional St. Croix Festival J’ouvert.
