Lane closures began July 9 on Queen Mary Highway for St. Croix underground electrical work
The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said lane closures were scheduled to begin July 9, 2025, on Queen Mary Highway on St. Croix for the next phase of its electrical undergrounding project.
WAPA said the eastbound lane between East Airport Road and the UVI/St. Croix Educational Complex traffic light would be closed starting July 9, while the westbound lane would remain open for westbound traffic.
The authority also said Queen Mary Highway would remain closed in both directions between East Airport Road and Route 707 through July 11, 2025, with reopening planned after that date.
WAPA said the closures were tied to installation of underground electrical infrastructure.
