Temporary bridge on Queen Mary Highway in St. Croix completed

Government House said July 23 that a temporary bridge on Queen Mary Highway in St. Croix had been completed and would open to public traffic on the morning of July 24.

The bridge connects the intersection of Casper Holstein Drive, Queen Mary Highway and East Airport Road to Route 707 west of the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands.

Government House said the project was completed by Custom Builders and included construction and paving of the bridge approaches, roadway striping and installation of guardrails.

The administration also said construction of the Midland Bridge on Midland Road was scheduled to begin July 26, with changes expected to normal traffic patterns on that road.
