Lt. Gov. Roach announced Hurricane Beryl relief effort for Eastern Caribbean

Lt. Gov. Tregenza A. Roach said on July 9, 2024, that the Virgin Islands government, in cooperation with the Department of Tourism, was organizing a Hurricane Beryl relief effort for people affected in Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and other Eastern Caribbean communities.

During a briefing at Government House on St. Croix, Roach said the Bryan-Roach administration had requested $200,000 from the 35th Legislature to support humanitarian aid and relief supplies.

Roach also urged Virgin Islands residents to sign up for Alert VI and review hurricane preparedness information and storm tracking resources through VITEMA.
