Government House rejects claims in lawsuit by former Finance Department employee

Government House said in a statement published March 12, 2025, that the Virgin Islands government was aware of a lawsuit filed by a former Department of Finance employee alleging her termination violated whistleblower protections.

The statement said the government rejected the claims as unfounded and without merit and said it was confident the facts would show the claim lacked merit.
