Government House canceled Aug. 18 press briefing for funeral of Delegate Plaskett’s mother

Government House said on Aug. 15, 2025, that it canceled the weekly press briefing scheduled for Monday, Aug. 18, to allow Gov. Albert Bryan Jr., administration officials and others to attend the funeral of Magdalene Hendricks Plaskett, the mother of Delegate to Congress Stacey Plaskett.

Government House said the weekly press briefing would resume on Monday, Aug. 25, at its regularly scheduled time.

In the announcement, Bryan extended condolences to Delegate Plaskett and her family.
