Official details

According to the Puerto Rico Seismic Network a 4.93 earthquake occurred about 42.48 KM north of Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas at 4:00 PM AST. The earthquake has been reported as felt in the Virgin Islands.

Based on location and magnitude the earthquake was not sufficient to generate a tsunami damaging to Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Some of these areas may experience non-damaging sea level changes.
