Bryan issued statement on death of St. Croix musician Wayne "Bully" Petersen

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. issued a statement on February 13, 2025, on the death of St. Croix quelbe singer, songwriter and culture bearer Wayne "Bully" Petersen.

In the statement, Bryan called Petersen "a true cultural icon" and said he had been "a guardian of our Crucian heritage" and "an unwavering preserver of the traditions that define us as a people."

Bryan also said Petersen used his music and public life to "uplift, educate, and inspire" and offered condolences to Petersen's family, friends and others affected by his death.
