Bryan scheduled to attend Seatrade Cruise Global conference in Miami

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. was scheduled to travel from the U.S. Virgin Islands from April 5 through April 10, 2025, to attend the 2025 Seatrade Cruise Global conference in Miami, Government House said on April 4, 2025.

Government House said Bryan planned to meet with cruise industry leaders as his administration continued efforts to expand cruise partnerships and promote its marine-sector economic strategy.

The statement said Bryan also intended to raise concerns about a White House proposal to impose new port fees on Chinese-built vessels, saying the measure could affect marine industries in the territory, including freight shipping operations that rely on foreign-built ships.

Lt. Gov. Tregenza A. Roach was to serve as acting governor during Bryan's absence from the territory.
