The proclamation notice also called for recognition of Fire Prevention Week from October 6 through October 12 and VI Taxi Week from October 20 through October 26.
Government House said Bryan also proclaimed October 14 as Indigenous People’s Day and Virgin Islands-Puerto Rico Friendship Day, October 15 as White Cane Safety Day, October 21 as USVI-BVI Friendship Day, and October 25 as Buckle Up Phone Down Day.
The announcement said Fire Prevention Week’s 2024 theme was “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you,” and said Disability Employment Awareness Month was being observed under the theme “Access to Good Jobs for All.”
