Electrical interruption scheduled for Feeders 1A and 2A on St. Croix on Dec. 6
The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said on December 4, 2025, that it scheduled an electrical service interruption for Feeders 1A and 2A on St. Croix from 12 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Saturday, December 6.
WAPA said about 1,020 customers on Feeder 1A and 3,005 customers on Feeder 2A were expected to be affected.
The areas listed for the interruption included Christiansted Town, Hotel on the Cay, De Chabert Housing, Richmond, Pink Fancy Hotel, Water Gut, D.H. Jackson Terrace, WJKC, All for the Better, Anna’s Hope, Castle Nugent, Coakley Bay, Cotton Valley, Eliza’s Retreat, Gallows Bay, Lowry Hill, Marienhoj, Union Mt. Washington, Sally’s Fancy, Solitude, Southgate, the south side of Christiansted Town, Tipperary, Turner’s Hole, Welcome-Tide Village, the WJKC radio transmitter and WSTX Studios.
WAPA said the planned outage was intended to allow contractors to make roof repairs near Crucian Gold and for utility crews to perform maintenance on power equipment serving downtown customers.
