The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said rotation outages began in the St. Thomas-St. John district at 3 p.m. on August 16, 2025, after the loss of a transmission line during Hurricane Erin.

WAPA said full restoration work in St. Thomas and St. John was scheduled to begin on August 17, 2025, with priority given to the transmission line serving critical areas. The authority said additional isolated outages on St. Thomas affected portions of Feeder 6A, Nadir, Honduras, Estate Mariendahl, Hospital Ground, Feeder 8A, Frydenhoj, Nazareth, Langmath, St. Joseph and Rosendahl, Peterborg and Lovenlund.

On St. John, WAPA said outages affected Cruz Bay, Enighed Hill and Hansen Bay, with repairs to proceed as weather allowed.

On St. Croix, WAPA said intermittent storm-related outages continued on August 16, 2025. Areas listed as affected were Paradise Mills, Williams Delight, Brooks Hill, Carlton, St. Georges, Hogensborg, Upper Love, Profit, Mary’s Fancy, Concordia, La Valle, Montpellier, Morningstar, Rattan, Salt River, Gentle Winds and La Grande Princesse.
