The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said on October 7, 2025, that it would temporarily reduce or shorten customer-service operations at several offices on October 8 and 9 to allow employees to attend a team-building event.

On October 8, the St. Thomas customer-service office at Port of Sale was scheduled to offer limited services after 11 a.m. Cashier services for payments were to remain available, and self-service kiosks were to operate until 4 p.m. The St. John Market Place business office was scheduled to close at noon that day.

On October 9, the St. Croix Sunny Isles business office was scheduled to close at noon.

WAPA said customers could still make payments online, by phone, through drop boxes using a check or money order at any business office, or at First Bank, Banco Popular and Bank of St. Croix branches.

The authority said normal office hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. would resume on St. Thomas and St. John on October 9 and on St. Croix on October 10, 2025.
