WAPA scheduled March 26 outage for feeders 7C and 9C on St. Thomas

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said it scheduled a power outage on St. Thomas for March 26, 2025, from about 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to perform emergency work to restore a major transmission line and distribution feeders in the Smith Bay area.
WAPA said about 4,036 customers on feeders 7C and 9C were expected to be affected.
The outage was set to affect Cassi Hill, Smith Bay, Coki Point, Lake’s Chicken Fry, Margaritaville, Point Pleasant, Sapphire Hotel and American Yacht Harbor, along with surrounding areas.
WAPA said Ivanna Eudora Kean High School, Frydenhoj, Food Center, Virgin Islands Montessori School, Cowpet Bay and Red Hook Plaza were expected to be affected for about 30 minutes, from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
