Anthony Edwards Injured, Updates on Timeline to Return to Wolves After Injury vs. Nuggets Game 4 - Bleacher Report
Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards reportedly is expected to miss multiple weeks due to a knee injury sustained in the team's Game 4 win against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
Edwards was diagnosed with a hyperextension and bone bruise in his left knee, according to Charania. "Testing ruled out any ligament damage, a significant sigh of relief for the Timberwolves, but Edwards is still expected to miss the rest of Minnesota's first-round playoff series against the Denver Nuggets, according to sources. It's anticipated that Edwards would miss at least a portion of the Timberwolves' Western Conference semifinal series, if they were to advance past the Nuggets," Charania reported.

Edwards suffered the injury during an awkward landing while contesting a layup in the second quarter of the game and was unable to return to the game.
He required assistance as he entered Minnesota's locker room.
The injury occurred to the left knee of Edwards, who has previously missed time this season due to right knee inflammation.
Edwards recorded five points and three rebounds in 18 minutes prior to leaving the contest.
The Nuggets held a 44-39 lead over the Timberwolves at the time of his departure.
Minnesota was hit hard by injuries on Saturday, as sharpshooter Donte DiVincenzo suffered a non-contact right leg injury in the first quarter and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
As for Edwards, his absence will be a tough blow to the Timberwolves.
He earned his fourth consecutive All-Star nod during the 2025-26 season, as his scoring average of 28.8 points per game ranked No. 3 in the NBA. Edwards also recorded 5.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists to go along with 1.4 steals per game on 48.9/39.9/79.6 shooting splits.
The 24-year-old helped the Timberwolves take a 3-1 series lead over the Nuggets heading into Saturday's action, averaging 23.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game through three matchups with Denver.
Ayo Dosunmu and Mike Conley started in place of Edwards and DiVincenzo in the second half of Game 4, as both players should continue to operate in larger roles with Minnesota's starting backcourt sidelined.
