Bryan issues statement on death of Nevin Phillips

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. issued a statement on June 4, 2025, marking the death of Nevin Phillips, whom he described as a leader in the Virgin Islands golf community and across the Caribbean.

In the statement, Bryan said Phillips' work at Mahogany Run Golf Course and his leadership of the Virgin Islands Golf Federation helped shape golf in the territory. He said Phillips focused on developing players, expanding access to the sport and creating opportunities for athletes of different generations.

Bryan also extended condolences to Phillips' family, friends and others mourning his death.
