Weekend road closures set on St. Thomas for Feeder 13 work

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said road closures were scheduled on weekends from Pilgrim Terrace Bypass to Hospital Gade on St. Thomas as part of the Emergency Feeder 13 Project.

The closures were set for 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 12-13, July 19-20, July 26-27, Aug. 2-3, Aug. 9-10 and Aug. 16-17, 2025.

WAPA said northbound traffic would be detoured west on Norre Gade, then right onto Rosen Gade, continuing onto Fireburn Hill and then to the Pilgrim Terrace Bypass. Southbound traffic was to turn right from the Pilgrim Terrace Bypass onto Fireburn Hill and continue onto Vester Gade.

The authority said the closures were needed for contractor Haugland VI to install new composite poles, remove wooden poles and carry out other system upgrades.
