Visiting sports stars ride through Charlotte Amalie before ceremonies begin at Griffith Ballpark

The opening day return of Little League baseball to St. Thomas started on the street before it reached Griffith Ballpark. During the April 23, 2022 parade through Charlotte Amalie, visiting guests including Tito Ortiz, Andre Ferguson, Andruw Jones, and Tony Perez rode in convertibles as marchers and teams moved toward the day’s formal ceremonies. The parade images tied the celebrity appearances to the public welcome that surrounded the restart of youth baseball in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
