WAPA held scholarship information sessions at two St. Croix high schools

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said it held scholarship information sessions on February 6, 2025, at St. Croix Central High School and the St. Croix Educational Complex.
According to WAPA, the sessions outlined eligibility requirements, the application process and benefits for the Alva C. McFarlane Scholarship. The authority said students also received information about engineering and other STEM-related career paths.
WAPA said the scholarship provides up to $80,000 for bachelor's degree programs and up to $30,000 for associate or technical degree programs.
The application deadline was February 28, 2025, according to the authority.
