WAPA board appointed Karl Knight as chief executive officer

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said its governing board appointed Karl Knight as chief executive officer and executive director at a board meeting on July 25, 2024.
WAPA said Knight was scheduled to begin in the role on July 29, 2024.
According to the authority, Knight previously worked at WAPA and had a background in the utility sector. The release said he would oversee initiatives in WAPA's strategic plan aimed at long-term sustainability, financial stability and reducing electricity costs for customers.
