Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky baby's name, gender revealed - USA Today

Lady Gaga may have a lot of dress-up parties in her future.

New details on the Grammy-winning singer's baby with fiancé Michael Polansky have been revealed, including the child's name and sex.

The couple made headlines last weekend after reports emerged that Gaga and Polansky had welcomed their first child. The "Abracadabra" singer had not previously disclosed her pregnancy.

According to a Sept. 17 TMZ report, Gaga and Polansky have a daughter named Rose Bean Polansky. The outlet, which reportedly obtained the baby's birth certificate, also noted that Rose was born June 9 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

When USA TODAY reached out for comment, Lady Gaga 's representatives declined to confirm the baby's name and sex.

Did Lady Gaga use a surrogate?

The singer has not revealed if she and Polansky used a surrogate for their daughter. Gaga, who wrapped her Mayhem Ball world tour in April, did not previously announce she was pregnant.

Gaga, 40, and Polansky, 42, went public with their romance in 2020 and got engaged in April 2024.

Polansky is a businessman and tech entrepreneur with roles at multiple nonprofits and companies. The couple met at a 40th birthday party for a mutual friend, Napster founder Sean Parker, at his Los Angeles home, where they talked for three hours, according to Vogue.

Gaga told USA TODAY in March 2025 that the couple's engagement inspired "Blade of Grass," a ballad from her album "Mayhem," which Polansky helped create.

"It's a love song between the two of us, but sometimes when we find love in our lives, it can also help us reflect on what it took to get there," Gaga said at the time. "Standing in my backyard, looking out at the ocean, I was thinking about all the people I've left behind or lost along the way. It was this incredibly happy moment and also bittersweet, which is why that record is haunting and beautiful."
