Bryan nominated Denise M. Francois to Virgin Islands Supreme Court and Renee M. Andre to Superior Court
Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. announced on January 26, 2026, during his State of the Territory address, that he had nominated Judge Denise M. Francois to the Virgin Islands Supreme Court and attorney Renee M. Andre to the Virgin Islands Superior Court.
Government House said Francois' appointment would bring the Supreme Court to five justices, which Bryan said would be the first time the court had reached its full complement.
Francois had served more than a decade on the Superior Court. She was appointed in 2013 by Gov. John P. deJongh Jr. to a six-year term and was confirmed by the 30th Legislature in September 2013. She was reappointed in 2020 by Bryan to a second six-year term and was confirmed by the 34th Legislature on March 27, 2020.
Bryan nominated Andre to the St. Thomas-St. John District of the Superior Court.
Both nominations were subject to confirmation by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands.
