Bryan held senior appreciation events during Older Americans Month

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. marked Older Americans Month in May 2025 with a series of events for senior citizens across the U.S. Virgin Islands, according to Government House.

On May 13, 2025, Bryan hosted a barbecue at Estate Catherineberg on St. Thomas for seniors who attend Department of Human Services senior centers. Government House said Bryan and members of his Cabinet grilled and served meals at the event.

Government House said the St. Thomas gathering followed a similar event held in March 2025 at the Adrian Senior Center on St. John.

The administration also announced a Seniors Ball for St. Croix seniors at Government House on May 22, 2025.

In the statement, Bryan said rising living costs were affecting seniors on fixed incomes and pointed to the administration's efforts to deliver retroactive wage payments to government employees and retirees, including many seniors.
