Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. traveled to Washington, D.C., during the week of Dec. 1, 2024, for meetings with members of Congress, Biden administration officials and representatives of the incoming Trump administration, Government House said.
According to the administration, Bryan planned to press for an extension of the rum cover-over excise tax and the removal of the Medicaid cap affecting the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Government House said Lt. Gov. Tregenza A. Roach, Esq., would serve as acting governor during Bryan’s trip.
