Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. nominated Xavier A. Acevedo on June 26, 2025, to serve on the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority Governing Board as the representative for the St. Croix district.

Government House said the nomination was submitted on June 26, 2025, to Senate President Milton Potter for consideration and confirmation by the 36th Legislature.

Acevedo is a retired WAPA employee. Government House said he has more than two decades of engineering experience with the authority, along with more than 25 years of additional experience in government utility operations, oversight, and private-sector drafting and engineering consultation.
